Small Business Saturday on the horizon – The Vacaville Reporter

With Thanksgiving upon us, Christmas isn’t far away. Which means lots of shopping on Black Friday and, this weekend, Small Business Saturday.

The latter is all about celebrating, embracing and supporting local small businesses that make our communities that much more unique. Such businesses are slated to be highlighted in both Vacaville and Fairfield.

From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, head to Journey Downtown in Vacaville and start taking care of your growing Christmas List. Expect more than 30 vendors offering an array of goodies and photo opportunities with Santa and Princess Elsa.

If you’re one of the first 200 shoppers, snag a free tote bag. And, try for one of many raffle prizes.

Stop by Rise and Redemption for an event map.

In Fairfield, the city is partnering with American Express and Boss Con to host a vendor market pop-up.

The event is set for noon-6 p.m. in downtown Fairfield on Texas Street between Madison Street and Jefferson Street.

Many more events are planned throughout the county, so keep an eye out for them.

Or, simply stroll Solano’s cities and drop in to local shops — now’s the time to get up close and personal with retailers you’d planned on visiting but perhaps haven’t had a chance to yet.
